Heather Mason is an Advocate, Activist, Former Federal Prisoner, Survivor of Fentanyl Addiction, Founding Member of caWsbar, and on the Board of Directors for Strength in SISterhood.  She submitted an insightful brief on this topic to The Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security in June of 2021.  She has helped organize protests at prisons in 2021 and 2022 to create awareness for the public, who have no concept what’s happening to women  in women’s prisons.
